Across the Desert

After yesterday's five state adventure, today was going to be an easy ride, right? Well, almost.
We only had two states to cover today..New Mexico and Arizona. And really, we started out 1/2 way across New Mexico and only needed to get to Tuscon...and I wasn't even driving.
But damn it was hot. And boy these states are big...it took almost 10 hours. Heck, even the Jeep needed to hit a rest area for a break.
Honestly though, it was another wonderful relaxing day. JP has driven every mile...and he is enjoying that as much as I am enjoying the ride in the passenger seat. I've taken a few photos from the drive Across the Desert.
Some highlights that I didn't capture on film:
Reminiscing about our previous trips to Phoenix and VLA
"Albuquerque Turkey" at Route 66 Diner
Napping with my head on JP's shoulder.
Taco Salad at Rusty's Family Restaurant
JP winning $325 at Casino del Sol
Getting a good night sleep at Hampton Inn.
