Deadwood in spring?

With the wide variety of weather patterns and temperatures we have experienced this last week, why would I expect anything different today? Maybe I need to start watching the weather channel. At least today I was smart enough to wear long pants. We started out from Scottsbluff, NE with mild temperatures (I'm guessing in the low 50s). How cold could it get in this little 200 miles drive to Deadwood SD? Would you believe we ran into a blizzard? Well we did! I mean it's only May 9 for Christ's sake. What was I expecting, sunshine?
Well at least the deer didn't seem to mind.
Tomorrow we are going to try to see Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse (after we stop and buy sweatshirts). Hopefully the snow will not reduce the visibility too much. It is suppossed to clear up over night.
